What I'm doing now

Last updated: July 2026

This is my Now page.

In general

Right now, I feel like I'm in sort of a transitory period of my life. I graduated from Rhodes College last year and now I'm working while I get ready to apply to law school. In the meantime, I'm trying to just live my life: spending time with my good friends, enjoying my hobbies, and picking up new things. Recently I got an ebike, and since I don't drive, that's been huge. I love riding my bike and I highly recommend ebikes to anyone who wants to get around without a car.

Reading

I'm currently making my way through Stephen King's 11/22/63. Beyond that, I've been into books about Abraham Lincoln lately, as well as The Lord of the Rings and stuff by David Hume, my favorite philosopher. I've also been reading the daily featured article on Wikipedia every day for 2026, though as I write this I'm quite a bit behind and trying to catch up.

Working on

At my day job, I work on systems for federal immigration litigation. Beyond that, I'm trying to write more, which is why I started my blog. My hope is that one day I can write something worthy of publication, either in a philosophy journal or in something like Liberal Currents.

Watching / listening

My friend Ryan has been watching a lot of new movies this year, which has got me watching many alongside him. I've been documenting some of my thoughts on Letterboxd, but not for every movie. I've honestly been watching way more movies than anytime recently, though. For TV, I'm currently rewatching Adventure Time with Ryan. I've also been into Columbo, Jet Lag: The Game on YouTube and Nebula, Game Changer on Dropout, and My Adventures with Superman.

For music, my favorite band remains Twenty One Pilots, who released the fantastic album Breach last year. I've also been really into The Happy Fits and their latest album, Lovesick. I saw them in concert this past March.

Elsewhere

I've been watching everyone in my family do their own cool things. My younger siblings are starting their own life journeys, my mom is doing plenty of her own writing, and my dad is doing off-road desert racing with NTD Racing.
